Learning the in and outs (knowledge) of the game will be the thing that increases your survivability. It's has more RPG elements delivered in an FPS way (as in it is first person and you shoot stuff). As skills developed in other FPS don't translate well to this game. This game isn't an FPS in the traditional sense (arcade, arena, ranked).
